Deforestation opens new phase of the campaign No No Bee Food

With the theme “The death of bees is a silent war”, which shows deforestation as one of the causes of the decline of pollinators, aired next phase of the first workpiece campaign No bee without food, gives ONG Bee or not to be.

Deforestation, also associated with burning and reduced pasture beekeeping, has serious consequences for the survival of bees, particularly of native stingless bees and also the wild, because:

- When felling and burning trees, nests and swarms of bees are completely destroyed;

- Deforestation causes a reduction in the supply of food to bees, and also the reduction of nesting areas (places to bees make their nests);

- Stratification of forests, so, small preserved areas separated by large areas devastated, makes it reduced gene flow between the bees of the same species (some species of native stingless bees have little flight range and can not move from one forest to another), decreasing variability of the species;
