Of 23 a 24 of August, near 300 people gathered in the auditorium Fostes Ibiupina da Federal University of Piaui – Picos Campus to the event: PERSPECTIVES ON PANEL FOR PIAUÍ BEE PRESERVATION AND I WOMEN MEETING beekeeping.

Were two theoretical and practical courses on beekeeping taught by Prof.. Pull. Juliana Biadini, in addition to the course offered by Alessandra Bee Cooking Bottaro. Each course had the participation of 20 women, and was a success!

In the course of Apicultural Cooking, all of them were very excited about the delicious recipes that Professor Lee taught and surprises with infinite usefulness of honey in cooking.

Besides, the chicks attended a workshop on turbans, with lectures from a teacher of History of UFPI, who has spent the historical knowledge of turbans, which is seen as a symbol of resistance for African women.

The whole event was organized and run by women, after the workshop Turbans, They exhibited the same on their heads during the courses.

During the meeting, there was also the inauguration of teaching meliponary part of the connivance of space with the semi-arid environment E-house. The space was very beautiful. The space has a composting garden, a reservoir of native seeds, stingless bees and teaching materials for beekeeping classes.
